Joyce Elaine Willis Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joyce Elaine Willis, 71, of Jamestown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 10, 1945 a daughter of the late William Albert Hudson and Vera Lucille Gohman. Joyce graduated in 1963 from Zionsville High School. She then received her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University in 1967. She was married to Harry Edward Willis on October 7, 1967 at the Salem United Methodist Church in Boone County, Indiana. Harry passed away on May 30, 2000. Joyce retired in 2015 as a dental hygienist from All Smiles Dental in Crawfordsville, where she had worked for many years. She was a devoted sister, mother and grandmother. Joyce loved spending time with her family especially her six grandchildren. Joyce enjoyed nature’s surroundings and bird watching. Funeral Services are to be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at Dover Cemetery in Dover, Indiana. Survivors: Children: Anita Breedlove and husband, Rick – Jamestown, Indiana Charles E. Willis – Lebanon, Indiana Harry Dwain Willis and wife, Kyla – Zionsville, Indiana Grandchildren: Alaina Sarah Koltin Cyan Cora Quinn Sister: Brenda Oltean and husband, Dave – Nebraska Sister-In-Law: Wilma Roush Deceased: In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dave Roush.
