Judy McKeen

Judith Diann Evans McKeen, 76, passed away at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon on Friday, February 17, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 2, 1941, a daughter of the late Arthur Henry Plass and Clara (Evans) Plass Coy. She was formerly married to Earl K. Evans and they divorced. She then married John Hedden “Jack” McKeen on February 3, 1978 in Nashville, Tennessee; he passed away on January 17, 2006. Judy was a 1959 graduate of Bainbridge High School. She attended school at the Institute of Real Estate Management and also the University of North Dakota from 1983 – 1984 where she took a correspondence course for Dietetic Assistants. Having served 23 years in Healthcare Management, Judy worked at various nursing facilities around the area including, Homewood Health Campus, English Estates Healthcare, English Nursing Home, and the Lebanon Nursing Home. The Indiana Health Care Association voted her in as second in the Dietary Manager of the year award and she was elected as Secretary of the Indiana Health Care Association in 1995. Prior to her career in healthcare; Judy managed apartments complexes from 1972 – 1981. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed crafting and sewing clothes for herself and her grandchildren. Funeral Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon. Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, Indiana. Stathers, Virginia L. Bernard, Dorothy Burress, and Joan Clarkson; three brothers–in–law, Thomas Burress, Bill Stathers, and Ed Bernard; and a sister–in–law, Lois Plass.
