Kent McGinnis

Mr. Dorian Kent McGinnis, 68, of Lebanon, Indiana, passed away Saturday morning, November 5, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on January 17, 1948, in Indianapolis, a son of the late Curtis Eugene McGinnis and Naomi Geraldine “Peg” (Miller) McGinnis Ferch. When Kent was young, his father passed away. He was raised in Boone County by his mother and step-father, Leo Ferch. He attended Whitestown schools and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1966. On October 26, 1968, he was married to Patty L. (Montgomery) McGinnis in Lebanon, Indiana. They later divorced. Kent began working for Lebanon Concrete; however, he spent the last 30+ years as an electrician, working for IBEW Local #481 of Indianapolis. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He spent many hours studying the Bible with his friend, Jene Anderson. Kent enjoyed deer hunting, upland game hunting, and riding horses.
