Leo Kemna

Age: 83 Married City of Residence: Lebanon, IndianaDate of Death: Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at 11:30 p.m.Place of Death: At Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana Jerome Leo Kemna was born in Palo Alto County, Iowa near West Bend, on September 15, 1930. He was a son of the late John Henry and Helen (Zeimet) Kemna. Leo grew up in West Bend, Iowa where he attended St. Peter and Paul Catholic Grade School through the eighth grade. He then moved with his family to Bancroft, Iowa and graduated from St. John’s High School with the class of 1949. Following school, he spent two years working on his father’s farm and spent a year working for Western Waterproofing. He was then drafted into the service February 1952 where he took basic training in San Luis Obispo, California. He served his country as a Corporal for 18 months stationed in Germany and France. He was honorably discharge in January 1954. On May 10, 1958, Leo was married to Bonnie Louise (Ousley) Kemna in Jefferson City, Missouri. She survives. Following his military service, Leo began his career as a Branch Manager with Mid Continental Restoration Company in August 1954 in Ft. Scott, Kansas. He moved to Lebanon in 1967 and opened this branch of Mid Continental serving mainly Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Leo was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
