Mount was born near Whitestown in Boone County, Indiana, on May 8, 1923, a daughter of the late Grover and Hazel Inez (Engledow) Staton. Mary was a life-resident of Boone County and graduated from Whitestown High School. She attended Purdue University. On February 14, 1963, she was married to John H. Mount, Jr. in Lebanon, Indiana. Mr. Mount passed away on October 3, 2003. While at school, Mary worked as a Purdue Laboratory Technician. She then went to work at Stewart Warner for a period. She had worked for Doctors, John D. Coons and E.A. Rainey and at the Akerman Drug Store. Mary and her husband co-owned Mount’s Flowers in Lebanon for many years. She was a devoted wife, stepmother, and aunt. Mary loved flowers and catering weddings. She also enjoyed reading, music, family gatherings, and traveling to Florida. Memberships: First Baptist Church in Lebanon, Indiana Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana.Visitation is planned for Friday, January 24, 2014, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon.Entombment will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Indiana.
