Thomas C. Lesperance

Thomas C. Lesperance, 69, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, in Clinton County, Indiana. He was born in Hamilton, New York, on January 21, 1955, a son of the late Frank C. Lesperance and Vivian M. (Taylor) Lesperance. Tom was first married to Theresa (Sharman) Lesperance, and they divorced. He has been married to Brenda L. (Shockley) Lesperance for 23 years and they got married in Lebanon, Indiana; she survives. Tom was a 1974 graduate of Hamilton High School in New York. He was a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years, including Madison, New York, Fire Department from 1978-1988, Baldwinsville, New York, Fire Department from 1988-1991, and from 2000-2005 he was a volunteer firefighter at Center Township Fire Department here in Lebanon. Most recently, Tom was employed as a livestock hauler. Tom was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2062, in Lebanon. He had a passion for rescuing Newfoundland dogs. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Tom will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Brenda L. Lesperance of Lebanon; children, Trent Lesperance of Lebanon, Danny Lesperance of Lebanon, Greg Lesperance of New York, and Brianne VanKirk of Horse Heads, New York; stepchildren, Christie (Jennifer) Kincaid-Shores of Lebanon and Dustin Kincaid of Lebanon; grandchildren, Tarissa (Drew) Scott, Jalen Kincaid, Haylee Lesperance, Danielle Lesperance, Deacon Lesperance, Jordan Kern, Samantha VanKirk, and Allison VanKirk; mother-in-law, Joyce Shockley of Lebanon; uncle, Steve Caldwell of Lebanon; niece, Morgan (Dan) Clark of Camden, New York; and several beloved friends. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister, Susie Swift. Funeral Services are planned for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his cremation arrangements. Memorial may be directed in his memory to the South-Central Newfoundland Rescue, 6162 Colonial Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46228.
