Age: 63 Married City of Residence: Lebanon, IndianaDate of Death: Tuesday, June 17, 2014Place of Death: At Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, IndianaAfter a brief illness, William L. “Bill” Criss, 63, of Lebanon passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Witham Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 30, 1950 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the first of four children to Alice Jo (Guy) Criss and the late Alvie Lloyd “Bud” Criss. He was born with a kind heart and a generous nature. On June 26, 1987, he was married to his sweetheart, Kathie (Stevens) Criss. Together they built a happy, loving home that included stepchildren and grandchildren. He also had a close relationship with his many nieces and nephews, always the favorite, “Aunt Bill”. A 1969 graduate of Lebanon High School, he also attended Ball State University in Muncie. He was proud to be a 30 year Union Electrician with IBEW 481 out of Indianapolis. He was retired the past five years. Bill enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Alaska, Florida, California, Boston, and Michigan; but was always glad to get home and partake of his retirement in Indiana. Golf, gardening, fishing, reading, motorcycles, movies, family gatherings, friends and getaways to his family’s woods in southern Indiana were some of his favorite pastimes. Music was in his soul and from the age of 15 he played bass/rhythm guitar, keyboards, and sang in clubs and special venues throughout Central Indiana. He enjoyed many friendships along the way and had an extended music family. Bill truly enjoyed life. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Lebanon.Interment will follow services at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Boone County, Indiana.
